4Chan YouTube Pr0n Flood

"On the same day it was revealed that users of YouTube, the world's largest video-sharing site, were uploading more than 20 hours of video footage every minute, the site was hit by a porn scandal which threatened to bring the service into disrepute. Over the course of 24 hours, the site was flooded with a number of pornographic video clips rumoured to be in the tens of thousands.

"In what is believed to have been a coordinated attack carried out by the infamous 4Chan group of hackers, clips containing nudity and sexual scenes were made available to the sites tens of millions of users. To circumvent the site's normal moderation policy, they were uploaded with titles referencing such favourite children's entertainers as Hannah Montana and the famous American Christian pop boy band duo, the Jonas Brothers. It is believed YouTube's moderation team have been working around the clock since the attack to try and take down the offending items, though the process may take weeks or even months thanks to the site's laissez-faire approach to content uploading, which relies on users flagging content as offensive before it is viewed by official representatives of the company..."

"Porn hackers have outraged teachers and parents after creating several spoof primary school websites full of indecent images.

"Up to 20 schools may have been targeted by the scam, in which a security hole in a virtual learning service called Moodle was exploited.

"Hackers created bogus sites that could be inadvertently accessed by pupils who searched for their school websites while at home..."

Teacher allegedly looked at porn with students present

"A substitute teacher who allegedly looked at pornographic images, which students also saw, on a computer at a St. Paul charter school last week was arrested Wednesday at his home, police said.

"Michael Anthony Johnson, 40, of St. Paul, was being held in the Ramsey County jail on suspicion of distributing pornographic images to children, said Peter Panos, St. Paul police spokesman. He has not been charged.

"The incident happened Friday at Community of Peace Academy, Panos said.

"Johnson reportedly was looking at sexually explicit material on a school computer while students were present, police said. Two boys, ages 14 and 15, saw the material, which was not child porn, Panos said.

"It wasn't clear whether the students inadvertently saw the images or Johnson showed them, Panos said."
